Messe Düsseldorf North America and Strategen Consulting founded Energy Storage North America in 2012 to advance understanding and deployment of energy storage. Energy Storage North America is the largest conference, exhibition and networking event covering all applications of grid storage in North America, and is one of the longest-running Energy Storage events in the world. ESNA is produced by ESNA Expo, LLC, a joint-venture of Messe Duesseldorf North America and Strategen Consulting. ESNA is part of the larger World of Energy Storage events happening in Europe, India, China and Japan.

Janice Lin
Janice Lin is the Co-founder and Chair of Energy Storage North America. She is the founder and managing partner of Strategen Consulting, where she brings more than two decades of experience in clean energy strategy, market development, and corporate strategy. In 2014, Janice co-founded the Global Energy Storage Alliance (GESA), an international non-profit organization, and currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Executive Committee. Janice also co-founded the California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA) in 2009, and currently serves as the Executive Director of CESA. Janice is on the Electricity Advisory Council of the US Department of Energy, the Board of Advisors for the Energy Policy Initiatives Center (EPIC) and the Energy Storage Committee of Joint Venture Silicon Valley. Prior to founding Strategen in 2005, Janice held several senior management positions with PowerLight Corporation (now SunPower Corporation), including Vice President of Product Strategy and Vice President of Business Development. Janice holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.Tom Mitchell
Tom Mitchell is co-founder of Energy Storage North America and president of Messe Düsseldorf North America (MDNA) in Chicago. Since joining MDNA in 1993, Tom has overseen the launch of several new international events, including a trade fair for footwear and fashion in Miami, a medical instrumentation show in Mexico, and Valve World Americas Expo and Conference in Houston. Tom participates actively in the industry and is a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO). He was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest. Tom is a Chicago native and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in International Studies and German.
