Development Director - Energy Storage
Currently leading energy storage development at Tradewind Energy, Matt has over two decades of multidisciplinary experience as a project developer, energy consultant, policy advisor, and project manager. In his most recent roles, Matt has directed the development of utility-scale energy storage projects in multiple US Markets, with extensive energy storage technical and market analysis, strategy, and procurement experience. Prior roles include directing the development of domestic and international renewable energy and conventional power generation projects, and advising some of the nation's top firms on energy policy and market strategy.
Matt received his Master of Public Policy from The University of Chicago with concentration in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Policy; and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Matt is also an active member of Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) and is committed to promoting policies and technologies that are good for the environment and the economy.
