Distributed Energy Resources Council of Hawaii
Leslie Cole-Brooks is the Executive Director of the Distributed Energy Resources Council of Hawaii, a non-profit trade organization dedicated to a sustainable Hawaii. Ms. Cole-Brooks advocates for the DER Council both at the Hawaii state legislature and the Hawaii public utilities commission, and her work has included significant involvement in Integrated Resource Planning, Feed in Tariffs, Decoupling, On-Bill Financing, Green Energy Market Securitization, the Reliability Standards Working Group, 14H Storage and Interconnection Rules, Distributed Energy Resources, the Power Supply Improvement Plan, Community Solar, the Utilities’ Demand Response application, and the State Renewable Energy Investment Tax Incentive Program. Prior to her work with the DER Council, Ms. Cole-Brooks worked as the Executive Director for the Hawaii Solar Energy Association. Cole-Brooks is trained as a geologist, and is a graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law. She is a current member of the California and Hawaii State Bar Associations.
