Qi An, Research Associate of the Energy System Analysis Center of the Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission, Consultant Member of Energy Storage Committee of China Energy Research Society. Joining ERI in 2009, Qi An has been continuing providing technical support to Chinese government on energy subsidies and market reform, global energy governance reform and China’s participation, emerging energy technologies, and other policies and strategic research to support innovation and energy transition. She served as Member of China Expert Team of G20 peer review for China and United States on inefficient fossil fuel subsidies, Member of Technical Supporting Team to G20 ESWG chaired by China in 2016, Member of fossil fuel subsidies peer review panels for Germany and Mexico under G20 and for New Zeland under APEC. She has worked in the International Energy Agency as a secondment consultant. Qi An graduated from Oxford University with an MEng in Engineering Science.
