Manager, Opportunity Development
Mark Hardin started his career in grid scale energy storage in 2009 with Xtreme Power (now Younicos) in Austin, Texas. During his five-year- tenure there, Mark worked to size and optimize energy storage systems for specific applications comparing a variety of battery technologies, developed valuation tools and proformas to assess grid storage project business cases, and led the proposal management team and product marketing teams. In the fall of2014, Mark joined NEC Energy Solutions as a Sales Engineer and helped NEC double its grid scale energy storage system installation base in 2016-2017. Mark is currently Manager of Opportunity Development at NEC ES and part of the proposal management team where he is able to continue to help NEC ES customers find the optimal grid storage solution for their project. Mark has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and an MBA from University of Texas at Austin.
